The bond that links your true family is not a one of blood .It is the kind hearted people who value you and want you to be there in their lives. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who always want to see you smiling. Family is about the bond you create with someone, and sometimes that bond could be with a friend or a co-worker.
Here are fifteen tips which will help you to find and foster these special relationships:
1. Free yourself from negative people
Surround yourself with people who reflect the person you want to be. Select friends who are proud to be with you. You will get your own freedom if you free yourself from negative people. You will become an independent person who think positively.
2. Let go of those who are already gone.
Fear is another reason why we can’t move on. There’s the fear of being alone and not being able to find someone else. It’s difficult to hold on to people in life Therefore respect yourself enough to be able to walk away. Let go of those who are already gone and be thankful for the life lessons which they have taught you.
3. Appreciate for new relationships.
Every person represents a story of their own. We will meet different people in our life. If you give them a chance, everyone has something amazing to offer. Therefore, embrace the new relationships where you can learn new things for your life.
4. Show everyone kindness and respect.
If you want to know how others treat you, the best starting place is to look at how you treat others and if you don’t like the way you’re treated, there’s only one course of action, you need to change your own behavior, because you can’t change anyone else’s. Treat people the way you want to be treated, respected and life will instantly get better.
5. Accept people just the way they are.
Do not try to change others because people have different styles of living. You need to give them your support and lead by example.
6. Encourage others and cheer for them.
Look for ways to encourage one another. Acknowledge others’ abilities and efforts. You can give a compliment and share stories about your day. You can share victories on the job, or other things they may be interested in. Say something such as, “I know this is a tough time for you, but it won’t last” and encourage them daily.
7. Be your imperfectly perfect self.
There is not a single perfect person in this world. It takes some courage to become imperfectly perfect, and understand that how hard you try, people will always find fault in you. Those who try to be perfect or please everyone are very unhappy from the inside. Therefore, always be yourself and love yourself for who you are. You will feel that you are the happiest and healthiest person in the world.
8. Forgive people and move forward
People will try to put you down in your life. It will happen to every human in this world but don’t live your life with hate in your heart. You will end up hurting yourself more than the people you hate. Look at what you have learnt from others, how they facilitated the personal growth for you. Therefore, Remember, the less time you spend hating the people who hurt you, the more time you’ll have to love the people who love you.
9. Do little things every day for others.
Sometimes if you can provide a little act of service for others, it will occupy the biggest part of their hearts.
10. Pay attention to who your real friends are.
Remember, life is like a party. You will invite a lot of people to it, some leave early, some stay all night, some laugh with you, some laugh at you and some show up really late. But in the end, after the fun, there are a few who stay to help you clean up the mess. And most of the time, they aren’t even the ones who made the mess.
Hard times will always reveal true friends. Therefore, be grateful for the true friends who will support you. These people are your real friends in life.
11. Always be loyal.
Loyal friends don’t get jealous for your success, because they are happy to see you happy. Therefore, be loyal to them in return.
12. Stay in better touch with people who matter to you
It is important to remember the people that we want to stay in touch with. Every relationship is a building block for success and happiness. Being able to adopt a few key steps with our important contacts will naturally lead to joy within ourselves and our friends.
13. Keep your promises and tell the truth.
Don’t tell half-truths and expect people to trust you when the full truth comes out. Therefore, never mess with someone’s feelings just because you’re unsure of your life. Make it a practice to be open and honest.
14. Give what you want to receive
Don’t expect what you are not willing to give. If you want love, give love. If you want friends, be friendly. If you want money, provide value. It works. It really is this simple.
15. Pay attention to your relationship with yourself
You cannot lose yourself in the process of loving others. Don’t frustrate yourself by trying to focus on others’ lives. You’ll only serve to overwhelm yourself, which will definitely not make you successful. If you are working towards the right goals, you should feel happy with yourself for making progress. You should feel good about yourself and the future.
