The comedy wildlife photography awards are one of the greatest wildlife photography contests. It presents the animal and their hilarious situations which is hard to believe. The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have announced the finalists for 2018. However, only 41 entries have got the opportunity to get through with the final level out of 2000 quality entries.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards was founded by Tom Sullam and Paul Joynson-Hicks to use laughter to raise awareness for wildlife conservation.
The standard of imagery, in terms of the quality of the photography, goes up and up every year. The humour remains as brilliant each year, with new animals that we haven’t seen represented before being featured.
As per Tom’s view, anyone can participate to the competition. Furthermore, Tom says that the photographers are a mix of around 30% professionals and 70% amateurs, which makes room for a broader variety of animals to be photographed. The message that the organizers want to promote through this contest is the importance of wildlife conservation. “Our strong belief here at Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is that the smallest thing can help conservation,” Tom explained. “By following Born Free on social media you have made one positive step. By supporting them financially you make another big step. By sharing our posts, by buying the book, by keeping the conversation going… all these things help raise the issues of conservation.”
The competition has segmented into various categories and winners will get selected as per the ranking categories. Overall Winners will be announced at the Awards Night at Foyles, in Charing Cross, London on November 15th. An expert panel will select the overall winner. They will search for the best technical excellence, along with the most engaging content and caption.
You can also vote for your favorite in the Affinity Photo People’s choice awards and there is a chance for voters to win an iPad.
