Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding also called Chengdu Panda Base. It was Opened in 1993, it’s the hometown of the “National Treasure” for Giant Panda. Chengdu Panda Base is the main research base of the Chinese government to conduct the protection product of the endangered wildlife which mainly refers to the giant panda.
This is one of the best tourist destinations to get closer to the rare giant panda. You can closely see the big pandas of different ages resting, eating and drinking, playing with each other, using enrichment toys, or watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms.
The research center also offers volunteer programs where participants can learn more about giant pandas and help take care of them.
