Each puppy is unique and adorable in its way. While some puppies are adorable and chubby, some have the prettiest eyes, fluffiness, and those who steal our hearts by just being their mischievous and funny selves. Also, some catch every eye right away with uncommon colors and get highlighted in the crowd. Some puppies look like pandas and puppies who have admirable facial hair.

Salvador Dolly is a cute puppy from Dallas, who has one specific feature
Say hi to Salvador Dolly, a shelter pup from Dallas who rocks an impressive mustache that goes from one side of her lip to another. Salvador puppy currently lives in New York foster care and she is one of the puppies from a litter of 11.
“These days its puppy season at Dallas and all the time there are several moms with litters at the shelter,” Allison Seelig from Hearts & Bones Rescue described. “Dallas Animal Services, a shelter with the 3rd highest number of animal intakes in the whole country, […] took in mama and her 11 babies as homeless and looked after them for 2 weeks, but puppies have a high chance of falling ill in the shelter home, so we had to take them out,” she continued. All thanks to the support from Dallas Animal Services and Hearts & Bones Rescue, it took less than a week to move the entire family of 12 from shelter to foster care.
“The entire family is all relaxed now in a cozy and secure home and getting health care and observing until the puppies are old enough to be weaned,” Allison reported and told that the puppies still need to be nursed because they are still 5 weeks old. Even though the 12 puppies are living in the same foster care, the non-profit organization has an idea of transporting them to NYC in late August to different foster homes until they find their permanent homes.
Seelig reported that just like their mother the puppies are very energetic and mischievous and doing great. “The puppies are all so different looking and sweet, and while we are filled with applications for Dolly right now, her siblings are still searching for homes in the NYC! Also, we are looking for foster homes in NYC prepared to welcome the puppies in once they turn up,” she explained. People who want to help the foster care or the puppies to find their forever homes can contact Hearts & Bones Rescue through their site.
“Looking after a family of 12 is expensive, so donations would be a big support to us right now,” Seelig explained, motivating people to fund health care for Dolly and her family as well as various other dos donating to their site here.
Hearts & Bones Rescue is a foster-based dog rescue and has teams in both Dallas, TX and New York City. They work with overcrowded shelters (such as in Dallas) where they sometimes take in over 100 animals in a day. Their key goal is to save as many lives as possible and help look after the dogs in any possible way. “Once our dogs leave the shelter, we send them to foster homes in the Dallas area for two weeks to make sure they’re healthy, and then send them to NYC, where the number of people wanting to adopt dogs is surprisingly high!” Allison described the procedure.
